What a great weekend we all had at the Kingston Prospects Challenge!

 

Our Quebec teams did amazing as usual, with the Royals Elite coming in 1st and Gouverneurs Selects 3rd during the round robin.  Both our teams advanced to the finals where the Royals Elite won 5-1!!!  :mrgreen:

 

Thank you to the Bisons Rouge players who were able to fill in for the boys on our team who were unable to make it to the tournament.  Can't wait to see you guys next year!

 

 

 

On a side note, I was expecting a bit more from this tournament.  No player announcements, anthem singing, mascot, light show, MVP awards, trophies, etc...  Our coaches even put the medals on the kids themselves lol.  It just felt like more of a regular game than the finals to a "prospect challenge" tournament.  Maybe they should take some notes from the CCM & Meltdown tournaments ;-)

Effectivement,

 

Ce tournoi a des choses à améliorer. Je ne comprends par encore pourquoi les parties de pool se jouaient en deux périodes de 18 minutes et les demies-finales et finales étaient deux périodes de 15 minutes.

 

C'est un très beau complexe et c'est un tournoi intéressant pour les inscriptions individuelles ou pour les parents qui veulent inscrire leur kids avec 3-4 chums. La formule d'équipe de joueurs individuels semblent très populaire dans les groupes d'âges plus vieux.

 

Un tournoi intéressant pour les parents qui veulent prolonger leur saison AAA sans avoir à courir après des joueurs ici et là.
