  1. D1 2004

Kids should not play in a weaker league all Spring just to play the meltdown. I no longer want my kid playing in the THAAAQ. The LEAAAQ 04 Super looks deep and very competitive which is what we want for our kids development.
  2. D1 2004

Playing in weaker tournaments just to play the meltdown makes very little sense. Furthermore, will strong out of town teams even come for the meltdown knowing stallions, metro, etc will not be there?
  3. D1 2004

I could see a scenario where there will not be enough teams to form a D1 tournament. You need at least 5 and even then will teams be strong enough and will it test the boys? The LEAAAQ at the 04 looks way deeper and stronger. That is where the Rebels should play.
  4. D1 2004

THAAAQ 2004 D1 looks very weak. Why not play in the LEAAAQ dj?
  5. Nouvelles équipes thaaaq d1

Merci... Does anyone know which teams are playing D1 in THAAAQ?
  6. Brick 2014

With another poor showing the IS will lose its Brick licence.
  7. Nouvelles équipes thaaaq d1

Sorry Chucky, just wanting to know what teams are out there. Didn't mean to be redunant.
  8. Brick 2014

I thought most teams stayed at the mall? I watched a lot of the games online with my son and was dissapointed with the ice storm team. They played like a bunch of individuals whereas other teams played more as a team.
  9. Nouvelles équipes thaaaq d1

Where did this Rebels team come from? Where did the kids play last year?
  10. Brick 2014

^that's the fee they give to the free ride kids, lol.
  11. Nouvelles équipes thaaaq d1

How good is this Rebels team? I've heard they have some pretty good players.
  12. Brick 2014

That much $? Wow! That is ridiculous!!! I'd go with just my son so it would likely be more like $6-7k I guess which is still way too much. That money is better spent on a year of extra skates with Gingras or Snita in my opinion.
  13. Brick 2014

If you're going to spend $5,000 dollars the hockey, environment and experience better be excellent. Let's be honest the Montreal Brick team has been brutal the last couple of seasons and is in danger of losing its licence.
  14. Nouvelles équipes thaaaq d1

What other teams will be strong in D1?
  15. Brick 2014

KOTR is King Of The Rings, it's a TO tourney of some top teams. In any case, what is the latest with the Ice Storm, have they cut down the roster yet?
  16. Brick 2014

Those 2 Bulldogs players will not be playing for the Stallions this Spring. Bulldogs schedule will not allow it...
  17. Brick 2014

There's definetely good players that play on teams other than Stallions Gold...
  18. Brick 2014

So, can a kid play in the LEAAAQ and still take part in the Brick? It seems as though the Ice Storm is only doing 1or 2 pre brick tournies so I'd like my kid to play more than that.
  19. Camp de sélection Stallions 2004 Tryout camp

So, what did Santa bring you? I hope the leagues get together and do what is best for the kids. The tournamnets would then be outstanding!
  20. Brick 2014

^I agree with that...a couple of kids from each team should make if to the next session and I'm guessing 4-5 from both maroon and black.
  21. Brick 2014

How many kids will make the next session? Full ice evaluation could be quite a bit different.
  22. Brick 2014

The Black did look like the team to beat at the start. It was a lot of hockey and I'm sure all the kids slept well that night.
  23. Brick 2014

Gold had a few good forwards...one kid had some very good skill. The Maroon team had at least 3-4 very good players so it was no surprise they won.
  24. Brick 2014

The goalies were also very good! This format did really benefit the aggressive and offensive minded kid that's for sure...
  25. Brick 2014

The tryout was very good. It was some intense hockey and I was impressed at how many good players were there. The teams were a little unbalanced which was unfortunate as a few teams have 4-5 top kids and others only 2-3. Nevertheless, the kids had a lot of fun. The format really allowed the skilled kids to show their stuff.
