So, what is left in the THAAAQ? Also, what happens with the Brick team?

Playing 03's is fine for 04's but not every tournament. I just want the best 04's playing against eachother in one league all Spring. It should not be hard to do that...

The THAAAQ is dead for 04's...

This looks to be a very strong division this coming spring. I'm familiar with the following teams but does anyone else no others that will be strong? Vikings Scorpions Beauce Flammes CH Rouge Rebels Espoir Max Puissance

This is why there should be just one Spring league in Quebec. All of our kids should be able to play in the Meltdown. If we put development first the best 04 kids would be playing eachother in 5-6 tournaments over the Spring. How many strong players will not be eligible to play in the Brick because they play in the wrong league? This is why you'll see the best 04 kids playing for Toronto or American teams which is an embarrassment to hockey in the province.

Not sure I like the generic feel of the tournament format in the LEAAAQ. I enjoyed the different tournaments last year and their uniqueness. The competition and depth of talent is the #1 reason to play in the LEAAAQ next year.

The meltdown is an excellent tourney. However, a strong 04 team from the LEAAAQ can just do the Ronny Mac in TO instead and also enjoy 4-5 strong local tournaments. The kids love travelling anyway, visit the Hall of Fame, see a Blue Jays game, etc. If a teams's only reason for staying in the THAAAQ is for the Meltdown than I'd say that is misguided.

OK, would be great to have 10 teams plus a few from out of town for each tourney.

That's part of the problem no doubt. As usual a coach won't be picked until it's too late. On another note, will the Stallions 04 Gold play all tournies in 2003 D1?

Furthermore, it looks like some of our best players might play on a Toronto team. This is what happens when adults can't get together and put kids and development first.

What a shame that is. Certain people need to get their act together. The kids are the ones losing out here and quite frankly it's embarrassing for the province that we can't get our shit together to have the best 04 kids represent the province at the Brick.

Well, let's hope there is one league for 2014. That would certainly help the Brick team be a lot more competitive. If this was truly about kids and their development adults would put grudges, politics and $ aside and put kids first.

The Stallions are still the top org for Spring no doubt. However, at this point right now it does look like the best competition will be in the LEAAAQ. There should be at least 8 strong 04 teams in the Super this year.

Absolutely! All 2004 kids should have a chance to play in the Brick 2014.

Scorpions had a strong 2004 team this Spring.

I think the better option is the Leaaaq for 2004 D1. Should be 6 strong teams all comepting at a high level.

To say with such 100% certainty that "all of the best players" play in the Thaaaq shows how little some people know about 2004 hockey throughout the entire province. And these are the guys running the provincial Brick team. Having a kid that played in the 2004 Super I watched a number of high quality players throughout the province on teams like the Scorpions, Beauce, CH Rouge and Flammes. If the Stallions 04 play in the 03 next Spring the best and deepest division for 04 will be in the Leaaaq.

This should make the Super 2004 much stronger. I think the CH Rouge, Flammes, Scorpions, Beauce, Espoir and now the Vikings will form a very strong group.

Maybe they should consider opening this team up to all kids from Quebec and not just 2 teams?
