The refs were terrible. Lakeshore was shorthanded for pretty much all of overtime and they still managed to almost win that game. I don't blame the refs often but it was clear that they were against Lakeshore. They are definitely a better team than the Espoirs with or without Joe Veleno.

I saw the Lakeshore vs espoirs de Saguenay for peewee AA yesterday and it was pretty obvious that the refs wanted Lakeshore to lose. The refereeing was disgraceful to say the least. Lakeshore was shorthanded for nearly all of overtime and still almost managed to win the game. Most of the penalty calls on Lakeshore weren't real penalties. The panthers were the better team but the game was taken away from them by the refs. I usually dont like complaining about refs because they deserve respect too but this time it was painfully obvious that they wanted the Panthers to lose.
