Why are you writing in caps? If you feel this strongly about the LEAAAQ, tell all the teams to join the THAAAQ and then there will only be 1 league with all the best players and everyone will be following 1 set of rules. All the best players play in the THAAAQ and if you don't believe that then stop talking about the THAAAQ and just continue worrying about the LEAAAQ.

Congratulations to the Laval-Nord Remparts for winning the Pointo tournament this past weekend defeating the Longueuil Sieux2 in the final 4-2. This is their 2nd tourney win this year so far (Delta tourney previously won). Both teams played an excellent final.

Simili AAA, one of the biggest problem in my opinion about AAA hockey in Quebec is that there are 2 ligues. The THAAAQ has been around forever while there are always a group of individuals trying to do their own thing (ie. ATEQ & now the LEAAAQ) because they don't want to be a part of the majority or they want to make their own $$$. With the THAAAQ forming 3 divisions, it has room to make everyone happy. The Elite play in D1, the others that cannot compete with the D1's play D2, and the ones that just want to have fun and enjoy the experience play D3. The only problem with this is that many don't like to admit that their kid is not playing D1 with the best so they settle for 2nd best in the LEAAAQ (nothing against the LEAAAQ but it's simply not the THAAAQ). In my opinion, Hockey Quebec should step in and basically form one league.

From what I was told they lost 2-1 in the 1/4 finals to a team that played with only 2 lines up front and they lost the game with 13 seconds left on a very fluke goal. Out of town tourneys are always very difficult to play. From what I was told also that Louis-de-France also had a very good team (again only playing with 6 forwards). Apparently it was a very good tourney with lots of good teams. That being said, I still think they are the best team from Laval because they have yet to lose a game in league play. Until they lose a game I consider them the team to beat. I know some people say the other Laval-Nord team is better, but as they say the game is played on the ice so we will let the kids decide who is the best team. :D :lol:

Merci hockey fan. In Laval, looks like there are 6 or 7 good teams. Here are the standings; 1-Laval-Est Voisins GP-11, W-9, L-2, PTS-29. 2-Laval-Nord Remparts GP-10, W-8, L-1, T-1, PTS-28 (the loss was in a shootout). 3-Monteuil Eclairs GP-11, W-5, L-6, PTS-22. 4-Laval-Nord Predateurs GP-7, W-6, L-0, T-1, PTS-20. 5-Laval-Est Titans GP-8, W-6, L-2, PTS-20. 6-Delta Pingouins GP-9, W-5, L-3, T-1, PTS-20. 7-Monteuil Etoiles GP-9, W-4, L-5, PTS-18. However to me the top teams order should be 1-Predateurs (yet to lose a game and runner up at the Delta tourney), 2-Remparts (yet to lose a game in regulation and winner of the Delta tourney), 3-Voisins (most consistent team & top 4 in the Delta tourney), 4-Titans (top 4 in the Delta tourney), 5-Pingouins (just won the Ottawa tourney and they play very hard), 6-Etoiles (they are starting to play better together), 7-Eclairs (solid skaters but missing some punch up front). The final 4 from the winning bracket of the Delta tournament is; Terrebonne vs Laval-Est Voisins St-Eustache Patriotes A2 vs Laval-Nord Remparts Terrebonne won their last game in OT vs Laval-Nord Prédateurs 3-2 and St-Eustache Patriotes A2 won their game in a shootout 3-2 as well. Les Voisins won 2-1 vs Monteuil Éclairs and Laval-Nord won 5-0 vs Monteuil Étoiles (who were missing their best player unfortunately). Not if they are good games. Besides, there is really only 2 tourneys (Quebec City & St-Hubert). The Meltdown will have teams from Boston, Conneticut, Toronto, etc..

I agree for sure that we need more arena's... especially in Laval (merci maire Vaillancourt!!!). Express Mistral & TGV are middle to bottom of the pack in the Laval league. Most teams have 1 or 2 good players in Novice, but if you have an Elite player then you always have a chance to do well in Novice because those players can change the game at any time.

Dans le 2004, voici les équipes D1 (in no particular order Mike :D ); 1-Stallions/Titan Gold 2-Stallions/Titan Black 3-Montreal Metro Canadiens 4-Ice Storm 5-Gouverneurs 6-Quebec City#1 7-Quebec City#2 I do not think there is another D1 team out there.

Bravo aussi au Leopards de Lakeshore qui on gagne le tournois de Buckingham cette fin de semaine. Looks like the team to beat in the West Island right now is the Leopards de Lakeshore as they also beat the Iles Bizard undefeated team 6-2 on Friday night! Felicitation a toute les Champions!!

Meme si Hockey Québec passe pas la règle de jouer pour une seule équipe dans une seule ligue, je crois que le THAAAQ va instaurer cette règle quand meme et forcer les parents de choisir entre le THAAAQ et le LEAAAQ. Moi je pense que c'est la meilleur règle à faire passer. Comme ça c'est facile de faire jouer les meilleurs ensemble :lol: dans le D1 espéciallement!

Djrob, je ne sais pas le niveau de l'Atome BB dans ton coin, mais dans mon coin mon garçon à jouer un match hors-concours comme défenseur et je te dis c'est un gros step pour un 2004 de jouer du BB. Si les associations sont smart, il aurait du laisser ton garçon jouer du CC ou il aurait pu avoir du succès comme dans le Novice mais ça aurait été plus compétitif. Mais je suis très d'accord avec toi qu'on attend le BB avec impassiance :lol:

Scores from this past weekend in the Laval Ligue; Laval-Nord Prédateurs 2 vs Laval-Est Voisins 1 Laval-Nord Prédateurs 9 vs Express TGV 0 Monteuil Étoiles 1 vs Monteuil Éclairs 3 Based on these scores I would say the top 3 teams in Laval are; 1. Laval-Nord Prédateurs 2. Laval-Est Voisins 3. Laval-Nord Remparts It should be an interesting fight to the finish. I believe any of these teams can beat each other on any given night.

[si vous le dite. Comme je dis je suis pas un assez connaisseur de novice hockey mais je pense que Lakeshore est l'equipe a battre dans West Island. On va voir. Comme qu'on dit, ça joue sur la glace and anyone can beat anyone on any given day no mater how strong or good a team is!

Un très bon tournois pour les novices. Si vous perdez 1 match, vous aviez toujours la chance de gagner le tournois (sauf si vous perdez votre seule match en finale à la Monteuil Étoiles de l'année passer). Les Pierrefonds Barons on gagné le tournois l'ans passer avec un super équipe. La finale était incroyable!

Hockey Montreal, you are definitely correct that there are some really good players out in the West Island. I know that there are at least 2 in Ile Bizard for sure. I would think that overall however they don't have the depth that some of the Laval & Mirabel teams have. However I know the Ile Bizard team would be able to compete with any team as they have a couple of game changers.

Mike, I think this score proves that Mirabel is up there with the better teams from Laval. I know that les Express Mistral lost to one of the Deux-Montagnes teams 6-3 (but I'm not sure which Deux-Montagnes team) at the beginning of the year. Les Remparts de Laval-Nord beat the Mistrals 7-0 & 6-1. Are any of the Mirabel teams in the Delta tourney in Laval?

You do realize we are still in November right. I'm personally still in Novice hockey mode Mike.... it's the best hockey in the world at this time of year :wink: I'll only be talking AAA hockey as of April 1st! For now let's continue to talk Novice hockey. Mike, do you have any scores from your Mirabel area? I heard you guys are strong, but I haven't seen any scores to be able to compare. The same goes for Victoriaville. I'm guessing we will only know more about them once the tourneys start.
