  1. Stallions 2004 Elite CHAMPIONS in Toronto's Invitational tournament

Contre les 2 equipe des Bulldogs on a perdu 4-1 et 2-0. Contre les 2 equipes de Pro-Hockey on a perdu 9-1 et 9-0. From what the Pro-Hockey parents were telling us, they are the team to beat in the Toronto area. They were big, strong, skilled and quite impressive. They beat the Warriors in the finals by a score of 4-1 I believe. In the 2006's, I believe Toronto is way ahead of Quebec presently. I said it in the summer during the KOTR's and I think the gap has only gotten wider since then. I believe we will close that gap a little now that AAA season has started, but the gap is still quite wide in my humble opinion. I heard that the 2006 Ice Rebels (Quebec's strongest team at the 2006 area) made the finals of a tourney last weekend in Ontario where they lost to the Broncos, but I'm not quite sure if they played anyone that was in this tournament.
  2. Stallions 2004 Elite CHAMPIONS in Toronto's Invitational tournament

Mike, let's talk on this same post after the Brick tourney is done and the results are out. I don't want to have a pissing contest on Classement POC. On paper, the Brick Team is a better team than we just played with according to the picks that were made by Rick Rusk & Dan Boulrice. Now let's stop talking & let the team IS Brick show everyone what they can do in Edmonton with your new formula. All of Quebec are on your side including myself as we will have 4 Stallions players representing Ice Storm Brick. Go IS Brick GO!!! Speak to you in July.
  3. Stallions 2004 Elite CHAMPIONS in Toronto's Invitational tournament

Mike, I wish you guys the best of success and I hope your new approach is sucessful. Like I mentioned, the bar for your team is now set pretty high. As for the wake up call I'm specifically talking about you are very well aware of it as we've spoken several times about it and it starts with the coaching. Putting a defenseman up front was a last minute decision because we had a player that got sick and wasn't able to play. It was a coaches decision that was made to help the team and the player did a GREAT job to the best of his abilities to help our TEAM win. On a team you can either support a coaches decision or second guess every decision. Teams that stick together and support each other through the tough times are the ones that win Championships.
  4. Stallions 2004 Elite CHAMPIONS in Toronto's Invitational tournament

The tournament featured the 5 teams, namely the 3 time defending Brick Champions Toronto Bulldogs Brick, Boston Jr Bruins Brick, USA Essentials, DHI Octane, & the Stallions Elite. After the round robin where everyone played everyone, the teams finished as follows; 1- Jr Bruins Brick 2- Toronto Bulldogs Brick 3- Stallions Elite 4- USA Essentials 5- DHI Octane Sundays Results Semi-Finals1: Jr Bruins Brick 7- USA Essentials 2 Semi-Finals2: Stallions Elite 3 - Toronto Bulldogs Brick 2 Finals: Stallions Elite 4 - Jr Bruins Brick 3 in 2nd OT. With proper coaching anything is possible with our Quebec talent. The Stallions organization have now set the bar pretty high, now lets see how our Montreal Ice Storm Brick will fare in Edmonton under different coaching and a different vision. I'd like to also congratulate the 2003 Stallions Elite who also won their age bracket beating the defending Brick Champions from last year the Toronto Bulldogs 4-1 in the finals. Again, with a proven coach in Denis Chalifoux and much of the same talent, the Stallions organization have now proven that we can compete with the very best anywhere. I hope this will be a wake up call for the people running the Montreal Ice Storm Brick going forward.
  5. Any results/scores from exhibition games yet? Here are the ones I know about; Jr CH Rouge 5 vs Jr Lions 5 Jr CH Rouge 2 vs Stallions Gold 7 Ice Dragons 5 vs Generals 2
  6. Resulta Match D1 Hors-Concours/Results D1 Exhibition Games

2006 Ice Rebels are very strong and the 2005's shouldn't be ashamed to lose to a 2006 like this team. I congratualte them for deciding to play against a good 2006 team.
  7. Comment ce porte vos série??

    Alors; 1- Victoriaville 2- Laval-Nord 3- NDG 4- Bataillon 5- Richelieu 6- West Island 7- Mirabel 8- Gatineau 9- Abitibi 10- Aiglons Lac St-Jean My prediction of the top 4 is Victoriaville, West-Island, Mirabel, & Richelieu.
  8. Comment ce porte vos série??

    Alors; 1- Victoriaville 2- Laval-Nord 3- NDG 4- Bataillon 5- Richelieu 6- West Island 7- Mirabel 8- Gatineau 9- ?? 10- ?? C'est qui les 2 dernier (région Abitibi et ?)?
  9. LEHQ. D1

Not all will "rise" and that's ok because they will gain valuable experience playing much tougher competition. Most of the team is used to playing against the very best 2003 D1's as they have been training & scrimaging with them all year. It won't be a perfect journey but we also don't want it to be perfect. You ultimately learn more from losing & get complacent with winning all the time. It's all about raising the bar.
  10. LEHQ. D1

Mike, very well said. You know your team much better than I know it so I agree with your statement. In the end you need to think what's best for everyone's development & not just 1 or 2 or 3 kids.
  11. LEHQ. D1

I think that's one thing people don't understand about our 2004 Stallions Elite team.... people always think that we put so much "pressure" to win but in reality it's more than ok for our kids to lose. Believe it or not we have actually lost many games (just ask Mike I'm sure he will be happy to share with everyone which games & how many games we have lost). What our team loves is the competition & we always love to raise the bar for our kids. The kids that are afraid to lose are usually the kids that lack confidence in their abilities. The kids that believe in their abilities & more importantly in their TEAM will rise up to the top in those big games & challenges no matter who they are playing against.
  12. LEHQ. D1

Mike, I totally respect that you guys won the Laval 2003 D2 tourney last year but it's only because you didn't have to play us at all during the tourney ; ) Too bad you aren't coming back again this year to defend your title.... Have a great AAA season Mike & all the other AAA teams as well. Bonne chance a tous!!!
  13. LEHQ. D1

Plus you added the top defenseman of NRJ last year (FI) along with 1 of the Stallions Gold Defenseman (NW) & 1 of the Stallions Gold forwards (KK) from last year which in some peoples eyes might make you even stronger then last year. The Vikings will be very strong... maybe even too strong in the 2004 D1's. As for an exhibition game, I don't think it gives our team any advantages in playing a team we beat 3-4 times straight last year (no disrespect intended as they were all very competitive games).
  14. Comment ce porte vos série??

Alors, teams officially going to the Dodge Cup are (in no particular order); 1- Victoriaville 2- Laval-Nord 3- Mirabel 4- Bataillon 5- West Island vs Trois-Lacs Falcons 6- NDG vs Federation-de-L'Est 7- Gatineau vs Gatineau 8- ? 9- ? Any others
  15. LEHQ. D1

I would believe that the Vikings would have to be the favourites in the 2004 D1 now that the Stallions Elite are playing in the 2003 D1 category. The Vikings are pretty much the same team as last year (Metro CH) that made it to every finals losing to the Stallions Elite. This team should have moved up in my opinion but I guess they want to win a few 2004 D1 tourneys this year : )
  16. Comment ce porte vos série??

LN wins game 1 by a score of 5-3 last night to lead the best of 3 series 1-0. Next game is Friday March 28th 18h30 at Complex Guimond. If LN win they are off to the Dodge Cup in Rimouski. Any other results from other regions? I know that in LSL Pierrefonds are officially out and that West Island looks like the favourites to come out of that region as I believe they only have to beat the Lashore Tigers once to go to the Dodge Cup.
  17. Comment ce porte vos série??

The regional finals in Laval will be a best 2 of 3 between Monteuil Eclairs vs Laval-Nord Cobra & the winner goes to the Dodge Cup.

  21. Brick 2014

After the first tryouts that took place on Dec 23rd, what were your opinions of who stood out, the format, or the competition trying out in general?
  22. Brick 2014

Very good question I'd love to hear the answer to.
  23. Brick 2014

It's a scam because it's run extremely poorly here in Quebec. I've been getting calls at about a rate of 2 a day asking why my son wasn't at the tryouts and why he doesn't want to play for the IS Brick from parents of kids that were officially confirmed by the IS Brick. They all want to go because it's the highest level of competition at this age group, but the true elites only want to go if all the very best players are also going. Knowing the 2004's like I do, I can confirm to everyone that NOT all the very best 2004's were present at the tryouts on March 3rd. In fact there were missing at least 5-6 of the elite players that should make this team if it were run & coached properly. My advice to everyone is to hold out and say they are not going unless there are changes starting from getting rid of the owner himself. In the past everyone has always caved and given in & the owner has won. I'd like to think the 2004's are much smarter & courageous than previous years and they will all stick together and sanction those that do decide to go under the current owner so that the current owner will give up control of the Brick license to the new owners of the league. Without players, the current owner is powerless!!! Coup-de-Brick!!!! Coup-de-Brick!!!! Coup-de-Brick!!!! Coup-de-Brick!!!!
  24. Brick 2014

Alfredsson11, the Brick teams are seperated by regions and you first have to play for your region unless your regional team decides they do not want you so they choose to either cut you or release you. Then you are allowed to go play/tryout for other teams. Every Brick team is allowed 3 import players (as long as they have a release from their region). So kids play outside of a region & therefore do do need a release but they would still count as an import on another team.
  25. Brick 2014

Gally11, get used to the coach not being there.... because even when he's there he isn't really there. For those that want to be educated before they go ahead and spend $6000, last year the coaches along with the owner & organizer were NEVER around. It was an extremely cold atmosphere and NOTHING was organized. The coaches NEVER addressed the parents in Edmonton and always left through the back door. The only time you saw the owner was when he was behind the bench or eating his doughnuts & licking his fingers. Even when one of the parents organized a team dinner to celebrate one of the players birthdays, not one of the coaches or owner showed up. Pretty sad given that everyone is paying for the owner, the head coach, & his son to be there. The facts are that the experience they are trying to sell you is not that pleasant of an experience going with the IS. The owner is the biggest problem here. He has driven one of the best players away from this years team & along with him one of the other very best players from the Ottawa region. My son is currently being held hostage as well as he himself does not want to play for this owner and the owner does not want to give us our release. It's quite sad but our family will instead find a way to cure that sadness with a beautiful beach vacation down south. My suggestion is that the owner of the IS Brick step down and hand over the Brick license to the owner of the new league so that they can run it properly for future generations.
